Warnbro home invasion leaves two men seriously injured

Four masked individuals armed with edged weapons, including machetes and an axe, forced their way into a home on Currie Street in Warnbro, Perth, during the early hours of Monday. The incident resulted in two men suffering serious injuries. One man in his 40s was stabbed in the chest and abdomen after a struggle, while a man in his 50s sustained a stab wound to his lower back and was also beaten.

Both victims were treated at hospitals and were discharged later on Monday. Police have described the attack as “targeted” and stated they do not believe there is an ongoing risk to the general public.

Investigators believe the home had been targeted previously on Saturday night, when several people allegedly attempted to gain entry and caused significant damage to the property. Detectives from the rapid apprehension squad are currently searching for the four suspects, who fled the scene on foot. Authorities are urging anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage to contact Crime Stoppers.
