Warnemünde trip fulfills wish for Alt-Treptow care home resident
Herr Weimar, a resident of the Alt-Treptow care home for seven years, fulfilled a long-held wish to visit the Baltic Sea. Following a stroke approximately eighteen months ago, Herr Weimar became reliant on a wheelchair and spends much of his time in bed.
With the assistance of the Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund (ASB) and their 'Wünschewagen' (wish car) service, Herr Weimar was able to travel to Warnemünde. The trip, which included a three-hour drive featuring panoramic views, allowed him to experience the seaside once again.
