Coyote vs. ACME trailer released ahead of Aug. 28 debut

Ketchup Entertainment has issued the final trailer for the long‑delayed live‑action/animation hybrid *Coyote vs. ACME*. The trailer shows Wile E. Coyote hiring lawyer Kevin Avery (Will Forte) to sue the Acme Corporation for its faulty gadgets, with John Cena playing Acme’s attorney Buddy Crane. The film also features a host of classic Looney Tunes characters such as Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Tweety and others.

Directed by Dave Green and written by Samy Burch, the project was produced by James Gunn and Chris DeFaria. After being shelved by Warner Bros. Pictures in 2023 and written off in a 2024 strategic realignment, the rights were acquired by Ketchup Entertainment in March 2025. The movie is set to open worldwide on August 28, 2026, with the trailer debuting at San Diego Comic‑Con.

The cast includes Lana Condor, Tone Bell, P.J. Byrne, Martha Kelly and Luis Guzmán alongside the leads. The film revives the premise of a legal battle between the cartoon coyote and the fictional Acme corporation, blending chaotic animation with live‑action comedy.
