Warner Bros. delays Gremlins 3 release to October 2028
Warner Bros. has released the first teaser for Gremlins 3, which includes a significant delay to its theatrical release. Originally scheduled for November 19, 2027, the film is now set to debut on October 6, 2028.
The brief teaser features the iconic Mogwai, Gizmo, peeking out of a backpack. While the clip provides a glimpse of the character, specific plot details, official title, and full cast members have not yet been disclosed.
Chris Columbus, who wrote the original 1984 film, is returning to direct and produce. The screenplay is being developed by Hannah Marks, based on an original draft by Columbus, Zach Lipovsky, and Adam B. Stein. Steven Spielberg will serve as an executive producer through Amblin Entertainment. This project marks the first live-action installment in the franchise since 1990’s Gremlins 2: The New Batch.
