Warner Bros. delays Gremlins 3 release to October 2028

Warner Bros. has rescheduled the theatrical release of Gremlins 3. Originally slated for November 19, 2027, the film is now expected to arrive in cinemas on October 6, 2028, in the United States, with a release on October 5, 2028, in Germany.

Despite the delay, the project remains in development with several high-profile creative figures attached. Chris Columbus is set to direct and produce, while Steven Spielberg returns as an executive producer. The screenplay is being handled by Hannah Marks, based on an initial draft by Columbus, Zach Lipovsky, and Adam Stein.

Production involves Amblin Entertainment and 26th Street Pictures. While specific plot details and the full cast have not yet been disclosed, promotional materials have featured the iconic character Gizmo. This marks the first theatrical installment in the franchise since Gremlins 2: The New Batch was released in 1990.
