Warner Bros. Discovery acquires Epstein documentary for HBO Max

Warner Bros. Discovery has acquired the international distribution rights for ‘Diabolical: The Epstein Files’, a 90-minute documentary produced by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. The film is scheduled to become available on HBO Max starting September 3, 2026.

The documentary examines the crimes of Jeffrey Epstein, his human trafficking network, and the systemic failures within law enforcement, the legal system, and social services that allegedly allowed his activities to continue for years. It tracks Epstein’s rise, his connections, and his eventual downfall.

The production features firsthand accounts from investigators, legal experts, and journalists, as well as individuals directly connected to the case. Contributors include Epstein survivors Lisa Phillips and Ashley Rubright, Epstein’s brother Mark Epstein, and his attorney David Schoen.
