Warner Bros. pushes 'The Batman Part II' release to February 2028

Warner Bros. announced that the sequel to Matt Reeves' 2022 film *The Batman* will now open on 18 February 2028, marking the latest postponement after previous dates of October 2025, 2026 and 2027. The studio released first‑look camera‑test footage showing Robert Pattinson back as Bruce Wayne amid a snowy Gotham backdrop. The delay was supported by DC Studios head James Gunn, who noted that long intervals between major franchise installments are common.

The shift comes as DC’s broader cinematic slate faces mixed box‑office results, with recent releases such as *Supergirl* underperforming against their budgets. Warner Bros. also rearranged other upcoming projects, but the focus remains on giving the Batman team additional post‑production time before the 2028 debut.
