Warner Bros. releases trailer for animated ‘The Cat in the Hat’

Warner Bros. Pictures Animation has released a trailer for its upcoming animated feature, ‘The Cat in the Hat’. The film marks the studio’s first full-length feature film and is scheduled for a theatrical and IMAX release in late 2026.

In this new adventure based on the Dr. Seuss character, Bill Hader provides the voice for the Cat. The plot follows the Cat as he works for the Institute for the Institution of Imagination and Inspiration, LLC, where he is tasked with helping two siblings, Gabby and Sebastian, adjust to a new town. The story explores themes of imagination and family, though the Cat’s tendency to take things too far puts his magical hat at risk.

Directed by Alessandro Carloni and Erica Rivinoja, the film features a large voice cast including Xochitl Gomez, Matt Berry, Quinta Brunson, Paula Pell, Giancarlo Esposito, America Ferrera, Bowen Yang, and Tituss Burgess. Animation is being handled by DNEG, with Lorne Balfe composing the score.
