Warner Bros. to debut Dune: Part Three trailer at New York IMAX event

Warner Bros. and director Denis Villeneuve will unveil the first trailer for Dune: Part Three at a special IMAX presentation in New York City on July 8, 2026. The event at AMC Lincoln Square will be streamed live and include a Q&A with Villeneuve.

The sequel, which adapts Frank Herbert’s Dune Messiah, is slated for worldwide theatrical release on December 18, 2026. The film returns Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya and adds Robert Pattinson, Florence Pugh, Anya Taylor‑Joy, Javier Bardem, Jason Momoa and others. In the United States the movie will have exclusive IMAX booking for three weeks, coinciding with the same release date as Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday, prompting a “Dunesday” box‑office showdown.

The trailer event aims to generate buzz for the conclusion of Villeneuve’s Dune trilogy and underscores Warner Bros.’ strategy of high‑profile theatrical launches to attract audiences in an increasingly streaming‑driven market.
