Warner Music Brasil signs singer and violeiro Thácio

Warner Music Brasil has announced the signing of Thácio, a singer, songwriter, and violeiro from Uberlândia, Minas Gerais. The contract was formalized on October 20 at the company's headquarters in Rio de Janeiro.

The 35-year-old artist is transitioning to a solo career after spending 15 years performing in a duo with Lucas Reis. Thácio has over two decades of musical experience, with a style deeply rooted in traditional sertanejo music and the use of the viola caipira.

One of his initial solo projects, ‘Viola e Voz’, has already surpassed 1 million plays. Leila Oliveira, president of Warner Music Brasil, noted that the artist's well-defined identity and genuine connection to sertanejo music were key factors in the signing.
