Warner Music Group promotes Tom Corson to chief operating officer
Tom Corson has been elevated to chief operating officer of Warner Music Group, taking over from Armin Zerza. In the new role he will report directly to CEO Robert Kyncl and will oversee global marketing, merchandise, direct‑to‑consumer, supply‑chain and other operational functions.
Corson, who has served as co‑chairman and COO of Warner Records since 2018, helped drive the label’s resurgence alongside co‑chairman and CEO Aaron Bay‑Schuck. Prior to joining Warner Records he spent more than four decades in senior leadership at major music companies, most recently as president and COO of RCA Music Group. Kyncl praised Corson as “one of the most dynamic, respected, and effective executives in the music business,” while Corson said it is “an honor to step into this role during a transformative era for both our company and the industry at large.”
