Warngau innkeeper extends operations at Gasthof zur Post

Petra Spiegler has announced she will continue operating the Gasthof zur Post in Warngau indefinitely. While she had previously planned to close the establishment by the end of 2025, and later extended her service until November 2026, she will now remain as the innkeeper until further notice.

The municipality of Warngau has acquired the inn and its hall with the intention of preserving it as a permanent event space in the center of the village through a major renovation. However, the renovation process is expected to take time, as the local government must first tender architectural services. Mayor Andreas Beilhack estimates that initial plans may not be presented until early 2027, making Spiegler’s decision to stay vital for maintaining local hospitality services in the interim.
