Warrant Drummer Steven Sweet Shares Ongoing Health Struggles
Steven Sweet, the 60‑year‑old drummer for American hard‑rock band Warrant, discussed a series of health challenges in a recent interview. He revealed that he was diagnosed with moderately progressive prostate cancer in 2018 and chose to have the prostate surgically removed. Two weeks after that operation he underwent a spinal‑fusion procedure.
Sweet also mentioned persistent issues including shoulder and hand arthritis, a hip replacement performed two years ago, and a ruptured bicep tendon. Despite the “crumbling” feeling he described, he says he continues to perform and has no plans to retire. Warrant is presently touring on its "Turn Up the Good Times 2026" schedule.
