Warrawong woman denied bail over alleged drug importation

A 26-year-old woman from Warrawong, Emma Rose Maree Rumble, has been denied bail following allegations of importing and trafficking controlled substances. Rumble is accused of using AliExpress to import a marketable quantity of 1,4-Butanediol, commonly known as GHB, in May.

Prosecutors allege she subsequently trafficked the drug at a relative's workplace in June. She also faces charges for possessing one gram of methamphetamine. While her defense counsel argued for bail citing a schizophrenia diagnosis and the challenges of custody, the court maintained her detention due to the seriousness of the offenses and her existing criminal record.
