Warren Buffett and Elon Musk report major shifts in their multibillion‑dollar fortunes

Berkshire Hathaway chairman Warren Buffett, 95, told CNBC his net‑worth stands at about US$147 billion and attributed his success largely to luck, noting that being born in the United States and as a white male gave him structural advantages. He said, “Among eight billion people, maybe I’m one of the ten luckiest in the world.”

Forbes reported that Elon Musk’s fortune has fallen back below US$800 billion after a brief surge following SpaceX’s IPO and a subsequent drop in SpaceX shares tied to a delayed Starship launch. Musk’s wealth slid by roughly US$45 billion, leaving his net‑worth around US$780‑800 billion, but he still tops the Forbes billionaires list ahead of Larry Page and Jeff Bezos.
