Warren police arrest man for allegedly attempting to lure children from elementary school

A 48-year-old man, identified as BB Williams, has been arrested following an alleged attempt to lure children away from Crescentwood Elementary in Warren, Michigan. The incident occurred in September while students were on the playground during recess.

Williams was taken into custody after school staff members contacted 911. He faces charges of attempted kidnapping and child enticement. Officials noted that the playground area is easily accessible, with only a silver guardrail serving as a barrier to the entry point.

The Eastpointe Community Schools District released a statement expressing gratitude that safety procedures were followed and that staff responded appropriately. The district used the incident to remind parents, students, and staff to remain vigilant and report safety concerns immediately.
