Warri Wolves and Enyimba play to a scoreless draw in NPFL

Warri Wolves and Enyimba played to a 0-0 draw during Matchday 9 of the 2026/27 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) at the Enyimba International Stadium in Aba.

Warri Wolves captain David Joseph described the result as a ‘precious point’, noting that the clean sheet helped the team move above Enyimba in the league standings. Joseph explained that the team’s strategy was to remain compact in the first half before utilizing counter-attacking opportunities in the second half.

Enyimba forward Wonah William attributed the stalemate to missed opportunities, stating that while the team performed well, they ‘failed to convert our chances in the game’. The result leaves the nine-time league champions with only two wins from their first nine matches of the season.
