Warrington Borough Council launches housing support consultation

Warrington Borough Council has launched a public consultation to inform its future Housing Renewals Assistance Policy. The policy is designed to help eligible residents maintain safety, independence, and comfort within their homes.

A key component of the support includes Disabled Facilities Grants, which assist with the costs of essential home adaptations based on assessed needs. John Kerr-Brown, cabinet member for housing services and licensing, stated that the council aims to ensure the policy meets the evolving needs of residents.

The council is seeking feedback from residents, carers, community groups, and disability organisations regarding existing support and potential new forms of assistance. The consultation period is scheduled to remain open until December 4.
