Warriors of Mary hold national formation meeting in Siedlce

Approximately 4,000 men from across Poland and several Western European countries gathered in Siedlce on September 5 for the National Formation Meeting of the ‘Warriors of Mary’ movement. Under the theme ‘Born to Freedom’, the event included a rosary procession through the city streets and a Holy Eucharist presided over by Bishop Kazimierz Gurda at the St. Joseph Sanctuary.

During his homily, Bishop Gurda discussed the Christian understanding of freedom and personal responsibility, stating that ‘true freedom is rooted in God.’ The gathering also featured a lecture by Jarosław Wąsowicz, chaplain to the President of Poland, who addressed the history of Poland’s spiritual rebirth. His presentation highlighted key historical figures and religious milestones, such as the Jasna Góra Vows of the Nation and the religious dimension of the Solidarity movement.
