Warriors rookie Yaxel Lendeborg left waiting for Draymond Green after Paris party video surfaces

The Golden State Warriors selected former Michigan forward Yaxel Lendeborg with the No. 11 overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft. At his introductory press conference on June 26, Lendeborg said he had reached out to veterans Stephen Curry and Draymond Green, noting, “Yes, the night of the draft, Steph welcomed us both in the group chat… I also reached out to [Curry] yesterday with a quick question, and I contacted Draymond too. I haven’t heard back from Draymond yet.”

A video later circulated showing Draymond Green dancing and lip‑syncing with Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum at a club in Paris, France, providing a possible reason for the delayed reply. Warriors general manager Mike Dunleavy Jr. joked, “Don’t worry, he doesn’t respond to me either.”

Lendeborg also confirmed he is fully healthy after recovering from an ankle sprain and a left‑knee bone bruise sustained during Michigan’s title run, saying the injuries took four weeks to heal. He plans to compete in the upcoming California Classic and Las Vegas summer league events.
