Warsaw and London report updates on public safety and crime statistics

In Warsaw, new data indicates that the pilot nighttime alcohol prohibition program has led to a decrease in public disturbances. Between June and August, municipal guard operations decreased by 3.8 percent compared to the previous year. Police statistics show an 8.9 percent drop in interventions related to public alcohol consumption and a 15.3 percent decrease in related offenses. Officials noted that the restrictions have not negatively impacted the alcohol market, as the number of sales permits and points of sale remains stable.

In London, recent crime statistics highlight a significant issue with knife crime. Out of 13,548 victims of knife attacks last year, 78.8 percent were men. The highest rates of knife crime were recorded in the Newham district, followed by Southwark and Lambeth. The data shows that the issue is not confined to peripheral areas, as Westminster and Tower Hamlets also reported high numbers, indicating that the problem extends into the city center. The safest areas identified were Richmond, Kingston, Sutton, and Kensington & Chelsea.
