Warsaw infrastructure and transport updates
Warsaw is undergoing several infrastructure and transport adjustments. On Wisłostrada in the Mokotów district, night works are scheduled from October 20 to 28 to modernize the anti-icing system. This involves replacing nozzles near the Karowa entrance to the tunnel to ensure road safety during winter. Drivers should expect lane narrowing and a speed limit of 40 km/h during these night shifts.
In central Warsaw, a damaged overhead traction network near the intersection of Niepodległości Avenue and Nowowiejska Street has caused significant disruptions. Seven tram lines (10, 11, 14, 15, 17, 19, and 33) have been diverted, with replacement bus services implemented by the Public Transport Authority (ZTM).
Additionally, ongoing maintenance of underground utility networks, including water, gas, and telecommunications, continues across various districts such as Mokotów and Praga to complete repairs before freezing temperatures arrive.
