Warsaw completes renovations in over 200 municipal schools

Warsaw has completed renovations in over 200 municipal educational facilities during the summer break. Mayor Rafał Trzaskowski stated that the education of young residents is a priority, involving both the construction of new facilities and the modernization of existing ones.

The most significant project was the comprehensive renovation of the Zofia Galewska Special Educational and Training Center at 7 Koźmińska Street, which cost nearly 51 million PLN. The modernized facility is fully adapted for students with visual impairments and physical disabilities. The project included the renovation of the school and dormitory buildings, the addition of a new wing containing a gymnasium, and the installation of new furniture, rehabilitation equipment, and multimedia devices. The center can now accommodate 130 students and provides 25 dormitory places.

Looking ahead, Warsaw plans to allocate nearly 200 million PLN for school renovations in 2026, with total educational investments exceeding 2 billion PLN.
