Warsaw faces water outages and record-low Vistula levels

Warsaw is facing water-related challenges due to both planned maintenance and record-low river levels. The Municipal Water and Sewage Company (MPWiK) has announced scheduled water supply interruptions in several districts, including Ochota, Targówek, Ursus, and Bemowo. Some residents may face outages lasting up to seven hours during planned network works.

Simultaneously, the Vistula River is experiencing historically low water levels. Data from the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management shows that the water level at the Warsaw-Bulwary hydrological station reached a record low of 95 cm, the lowest measurement since data collection began in the 1950s. Low levels have also been noted at the Nadwilanówka and Modlin stations. Hydrological drought warnings remain in effect for southern, western, and eastern parts of Poland.
