Warsaw: Georgian national detained after climbing on Ministry of Finance car

A 41-year-old Georgian citizen was detained by police in central Warsaw after causing a dangerous incident involving a Ministry of Finance vehicle. The event occurred on Thursday around 10:30 PM on Nowy Świat street, near the Charles de Gaulle roundabout.

The individual, who was walking in the middle of the traffic lane, forced an Audi belonging to the Ministry of Finance to stop as it was pulling away from a traffic light. The man then climbed onto the vehicle and walked across it. Hanna Majszczyk, the Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Finance, was traveling in the car at the time of the incident.

Police reported that no injuries were sustained by the viceminister or the driver. The suspect, who was legally residing in Poland and was sober at the time of the arrest, had previous records for traffic offenses. Authorities are currently verifying the technical condition of the vehicle for potential damage.
