Zakopane and Poprad to connect through “Most Kultury” initiative
The “Most Kultury” (Bridge of Culture) initiative is set to connect Zakopane, Poland, and Poprad, Slovakia, through a series of joint cultural events. The project, funded by the European Regional Development Fund and the Interreg Poland-Slovakia program, includes exhibitions and musical performances on both sides of the border.
In Zakopane, an exhibition celebrating the 150th anniversary of Tatra mountain leadership will open on October 17 at the Kuźnice square. The displays will feature solar-powered panels to ensure sustainability in the local climate. Musical programs will feature regional ensembles from both nations, including the Klimko Bachleda Regional Ensemble from Zakopane and the Letnička and Vagonár ensembles from Slovakia.
