Warsaw Marathon 48th Edition Unveils Fast, Flat Course
The Warsaw Marathon Foundation released the route for the 48th edition of the race, confirming a largely unchanged, fast‑running course with only minor technical tweaks near the National Stadium, Fort Bema and the Bielany district. The 42‑kilometre circuit starts on Świętokrzyska Street in the city centre, follows wide avenues along the Vistula, crosses the historic Poniatowski Bridge and loops through well‑known landmarks such as the National Stadium, Royal Castle, Presidential Palace, POLIN Museum, Palace of Culture and Science and the Citadel.
The profile is flat, with a total elevation gain of just 84 metres and a single modest climb of about 500 metres at the 16‑kilometre mark (1.6 % gradient). Organisers highlight the long straight sections and lack of significant hills after the 30‑kilometre point, aiming to give participants a strong chance of achieving personal best times on 27 September in Warsaw.
