Warsaw police and detectives investigate disappearance of 13-year-old Roksana Jurczyszyn

Two weeks after 13-year-old Roksana Jurczyszyn disappeared from the Warsaw boulevards, investigators are shifting their focus as the primary hypothesis regarding the Vistula River is being discounted.

Private detective Kamil Sobkiewicz, hired by the family, reported that recent searches involving divers, motorboats, and specialized sonar have failed to find any traces of the girl. Due to the low water levels and specific river geography, experts believe that if she had entered the water, her body would have become lodged in certain bottleneck areas, which have now been thoroughly searched. Sobkiewicz stated that they are moving away from the water-related theory to focus on new, undisclosed leads.

While the private investigation shifts focus, the police maintain that no scenario has been officially ruled out. Parallel investigations are examining land-based locations and new signals. Additionally, a 22-year-old man has emerged as a person of interest; reports suggest he may have been posing as a 12-year-old girl to contact minors and was seen in the company of young people near Złote Tarasy.
