Warsaw police seek French citizen over viral street confrontation

Warsaw police have announced that a French citizen will face charges for making threats following a viral video showing an aggressive confrontation on a city street. The footage, recorded by a driver who attempted to intervene, depicts a man brandishing a metal pole toward the camera after a verbal dispute with a Polish woman.

While the witness claimed to have seen physical violence, the woman involved has twice denied that any force was used against her—once during the initial police intervention and again during a follow-up interview. Police clarified that the encounter was a personal verbal argument rather than a physical assault.

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are currently searching for the French national. Police also noted that while the video has circulated widely on social media, the individual who recorded it has not yet officially provided the full footage to investigators.
