Warsaw police seize illegal weapons and detain three Russians
Polish police and the Internal Security Agency (ABW) conducted a targeted operation in the Wola district of Warsaw, resulting in the detention of three Russian citizens of Chechen origin. The intervention followed intelligence regarding the potential activities of an organized criminal group.
During the search of an apartment, authorities seized three firearms and ammunition, two of which had obliterated serial numbers. The men detained were aged 21, 25, and 42.
The 42-year-old suspect has been charged with illegal possession of weapons and ammunition without a permit and has been placed under a three-month preventive arrest. The 25-year-old is facing deportation procedures, while the 21-year-old was released after being questioned as a witness.
