Poland: Local transport changes and community events scheduled for October
Various local communities and transport authorities in Poland are implementing changes and organizing events for mid-to-late October.
In preparation for All Saints' Day, transport adjustments are being made to facilitate cemetery visits. In Gliwice, free electric carts (meleksy) will offer increased service at the Central and Lipowy cemeteries on specific dates in October to assist the elderly and disabled. In Warsaw, additional bus services and route adjustments, such as increased frequency for line 250, are being introduced to manage traffic near the Northern Cemetery.
Public transit in Lublin will see significant changes starting October 19, including the launch of a new bus line (801) connecting Hajdów-Zadębie with Mełgiewska and the extension of line 33 to the Lublin Station.
Community and religious events are also scheduled: Wieliczka will host Senioralia on October 16, a festival for residents aged 60+ featuring music, health demonstrations, and educational lectures. Meanwhile, in Tarnów, a Rosary procession will take place on October 18, starting at the Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Scapular.
