Warsaw strengthens position as business and tourism hub

Warsaw is strengthening its position as a major hub for business, tourism, and Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) in Central and Eastern Europe. The city benefits from a diverse demand profile, combining domestic travel, government activity, and corporate needs with a growing international tourism market.

In 2025, Warsaw welcomed approximately 12.1 million visitors, maintaining levels roughly 20% above 2019 figures. While domestic travelers account for about 70% of visitors, the international share has risen to 30%. The city has also become a significant gateway for diplomatic and reconstruction-related activities related to Ukraine.

To bolster its MICE profile, Warsaw is leveraging established venues and new cultural experiences. Key hospitality players include the InterContinental Warsaw, which is competing in several 2026 World Travel Awards, Nobu Hotel Warsaw, and the historic Hotel Bristol. Additionally, the ADN Conference Center provides extensive meeting spaces for large-scale events. The city is also integrating cultural attractions, such as the Warsaw Rising Museum and the Chopin and His Europe Festival, into its professional event offerings.
