Polish towns host numerous harvest festivals and summer cultural events in August 2026

In August 2026 a series of traditional harvest festivals (dożynki) took place across several Polish gminas. In Jeżowe, the mayor Marek Stępak opened the celebrations with a mass, procession, folk music and competitions such as the best harvest wreath and a rope‑pulling contest. Jankowice hosted a mass followed by a parade, performances by local bands and a showcase of regional products. Biecz organised a “Day of Dill” with a mass, wreath‑making, culinary workshops and family entertainment. Majdan Królewski held its final county dożynki of the season, featuring a mass, parade, concerts by bands Camasutra and Outsidder, and a motorbike display. Kozienice’s XXVI dożynki in Świerże Górne combined religious rites, a parade, folk orchestra, and a concert by the disco‑polo group Bayer Full.

Other summer cultural programmes complemented the harvest celebrations. The Farma Iluzji amusement park offered a night of lights, magic shows and a stand‑up performance by Maciej Pęda. The Łódź Philharmonic’s “Kolory Polski” festival presented jazz concerts in Smardzewice and folk‑inspired shows in Bogdanów. Warsaw’s Westfield Arkadia hosted a free candlelit concert of film music. Szczecin’s “Żagle 2026” added a dedicated children’s zone with circus, theater and music activities. These events, organized by local authorities, cultural centres and volunteer groups, provided free entertainment, traditional crafts, and opportunities for community interaction throughout the country.
