Warsztatownia Franica exhibition transforms Piast Castle hall in Racibórz

On 28 June 2026 the former sweets‑workshop conference hall of Piast Castle in Racibórz hosted a vernissage showcasing works created by participants of Warsztatownia Franica. The display featured paintings, collages and other pieces produced by children, teenagers and adults, each described as a personal story of emotion and artistic exploration.

The workshop, founded by painter and therapist Magdalena Franica, operates from the Prince’s House within the castle. Since its inception in 2019, Warsztatownia Franica has grown from a local initiative to a hybrid programme that combines in‑person classes with online sessions, reaching young artists across Poland. The exhibition highlighted the group’s recent activities, including a series on the “Seven Capital Sins” and collaborations with educational centres. Attendees included participants, their families and local community members, who explored the vibrant colours and textures on display.

The event underscored the role of the castle as a cultural hub and illustrated how the workshop supports creative development and emotional expression through visual arts.
