Warwick Farm sees success for Chris Waller-trained fillies

Two promising three-year-old fillies trained by Chris Waller secured victories at Warwick Farm on Wednesday.

Sequinned, a daughter of Pinatubo, won a 1200m race by half a length over stablemate Saffron Veil. Ridden by Zac Lloyd, the filly showed significant improvement from her earlier season appearances. Sequinned is a half-sister to Group 1 winner Bivouac.

Sing Your Song, the $2.60 favourite, won the 1400m Asahi Super Dry Handicap. Jockey James McDonald drove the filly to the front in the final stages to hold off Waiheke Rose by a neck. Following this performance, Waller indicated that the Group 1 Flight Stakes scheduled for October 3rd is a primary target for the filly.
