Four Teens Charged with Murder in Logan Party Brawl

Four teenagers, aged 18 to 19, have been charged with murder after 21‑year‑old Jongkuch Peter Kur Jongkuch Achieu died from severe head injuries sustained at a chaotic house party in the Bahrs Scrub suburb of Logan, Queensland, on 26 July. Police were called to a large disturbance at Discovery Boulevard shortly after 2 am, found the victim with critical injuries on a nearby street and later transported him to Princess Alexandra Hospital, where he died on 1 August after life support was withdrawn.

Detectives from the Logan Criminal Investigation Branch and the Homicide Investigation Unit executed 14 simultaneous search warrants across Logan, South Brisbane and Ipswich. Two 18‑year‑old men from Collingwood Park and MacGregor and two 19‑year‑old men from Doolandella and Inala were arrested and charged with murder. A 22‑year‑old man from Heathwood was also charged with contravening an order relating to electronic information. All five are due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court. Queensland Police thanked the community for information that aided the investigation.
