Warwoven wins Group 1 Golden Rose at Rosehill

Warwoven, a Bjorn Baker-trained colt, secured a dominant three-length victory in the Group 1 $1 million Golden Rose (1400m) at Rosehill. Ridden by Rachel King, the son of Sword of State justified heavy betting support to defeat St Gotthard by 3¼ lengths, stopping the clock at 1:20.93.

With this win, Warwoven becomes the first horse since Bivouac in 2019 to complete the Run To The Rose and Golden Rose double. The victory brings the colt's career record to five wins from eight starts and total earnings exceeding $1.1 million.

Following the performance, trainer Bjorn Baker identified the Group 1 $3 million Caulfield Guineas in Melbourne as the next major target for the horse.
