Washington Capitals to face Hurricanes without Dubois and Roy

The Washington Capitals will be without key players Pierre-Luc Dubois and Matt Roy for their upcoming game against the Carolina Hurricanes. Dubois is sidelined due to illness, while defenseman Matt Roy has been placed on injured reserve following a lower-body injury.

Additionally, marquee offseason addition Alex Tuch missed Monday's practice for a maintenance day. While Tuch is traveling with the team and is expected to play, his status remains subject to final confirmation from the athletic training staff.

To address these absences, the Capitals have recalled veteran defenseman Justin Holl from the Hershey Bears. Head coach Spencer Carbery noted that Holl provides a puck-moving, defensive-minded option to stabilize the lineup during the team's upcoming back-to-back schedule.
