Washington Commanders conclude 13th training camp practice

The Washington Commanders concluded their 13th day of training camp in Ashburn, Virginia, marking the final padded practice and the last public session for fans before their upcoming game against the Detroit Lions.

The team faced significant defensive injury concerns. Defensive tackle Johnny Newton is seeking a specialist for a pectoral injury sustained during a game against the Dolphins, which head coach Dan Quinn noted could be long-term. Other sidelined players include edge rushers K’Lavon Chaisson (knee) and Odafe Oweh (calf), and linebacker Jordan Magee (shoulder). Tim Settle is also progressing in his recovery from a calf strain.

On the offensive side, quarterback Jayden Daniels showed strong chemistry with Chig Okonkwo, including a touchdown connection during 11-on-11 drills. The running game also saw activity with Nick Allegretti and John Bates returning to teamwork, while Kaytron Allen provided productive runs in the absence of Rachaad White.
