Washington Commanders defensive roster updates involve Von Miller and Kyzir White

The Washington Commanders are actively restructuring their defense through free agency moves and player tryouts. Edge rusher Von Miller has reportedly joined the Dallas Cowboys on a one-year deal after previously playing for the Commanders. The 37-year-old veteran, an eight-time Pro Bowler, is expected to serve as a situational defensive presence for Dallas.

In an effort to bolster their linebacker corps, the Commanders recently hosted several players for tryouts, including former Philadelphia Eagles and Arizona Cardinals linebacker Kyzir White. White, who participated in Super Bowl LVII, recorded 137 tackles and 8 QB hits during the 2024 season with Arizona. Other players participating in recent Washington tryouts include Triston Newson, Brandon Smith, Brandon Frazier, Johnny Lumpkin, and Tre’McKitty.
