Washington Commanders elevate Ricky Barber and Ale Kaho for Cowboys game

The Washington Commanders have made roster adjustments ahead of their Week 2 game against the Dallas Cowboys. The team signed defensive tackle Ricky Barber to the practice squad and immediately elevated him to the active roster. Barber, a 295-pound lineman, previously played for the Commanders' practice squad last season and recorded a sack against Dak Prescott during the 2025 campaign.

Additionally, the Commanders elevated linebacker Ale Kaho from the practice squad to provide depth. These moves address injuries and availability issues within the defense, specifically following the move of Jordan Magee to injured reserve and the absence of linebacker Frankie Luvu. The elevations provide the team with extra options for special teams and defensive rotations while dealing with the questionable status of defensive tackle Javon Kinlaw.
