Washington Commanders face significant injury concerns ahead of Eagles matchup

The Washington Commanders are dealing with multiple injuries as they prepare for their upcoming game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Defensive tackle Javon Kinlaw is unlikely to play due to a knee injury, a loss that could impact the team's decision regarding potential trade discussions involving Daron Payne.

The receiving corps is also heavily impacted: Terry McLaurin remains on injured reserve, and Treylon Burks missed practice with a foot injury. While Stefon Diggs returned to practice despite hand and hamstring issues, the team faces depth challenges. Other notable absences include tight end John Bates with a shoulder injury and center Nick Allegretti with a back issue.

On the defensive side, Charles Omenihu and Jer’Zhan Newton remain limited in practice. Meanwhile, the Eagles also report injuries to key players including Saquon Barkley and DeVonta Smith.
