Washington Commanders face multiple injuries in London loss

The Washington Commanders suffered multiple significant injuries during their Week 4 game against the Indianapolis Colts in London. Wide receiver and return specialist Jaylin Lane sustained a fractured and dislocated ankle during a punt return. Reports indicate the injury will likely require surgery and end his season.

Quarterback Marcus Mariota also exited the game after suffering a sprain to his right medial collateral ligament following a sack in the first quarter. While Mariota is expected to work on the side during the upcoming week, the team is managing a depleted roster.

In contrast, head coach Dan Quinn provided positive news regarding starting quarterback Jayden Daniels. Daniels, who has been sidelined with a dislocated left elbow, is expected to return to practice this week with the goal of starting against the New York Giants this Sunday.
