Washington Commanders look to Jacory Croskey-Merritt for run game success

The Washington Commanders are looking to leverage running back Jacory Croskey-Merritt in their upcoming matchup against the Dallas Cowboys. In his first game under new offensive coordinator David Blough, Croskey-Merritt recorded 63 rushing yards and a touchdown on 16 carries during a 24-22 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Coach Dan Quinn highlighted Croskey-Merritt’s athleticism, noting that his ability to reach the second and third levels of the defense creates tackling difficulties. The Commanders aim to use a zone-run based scheme to control the line of scrimmage, a strategy they hope will mirror the success the New York Giants recently had against the Cowboys' defense.
