Washington Commanders see player returns and future roster projections

The Washington Commanders are seeing improvements in player availability as several key individuals approach returns. Linebacker Jordan Magee is nearing a return from injured reserve after opening his 21-day window following a strained hamstring. Magee, a 2024 fifth-round pick, is expected to bolster the linebacker rotation following the season-ending neck injury suffered by Frankie Luvu.

In addition to Magee, the team expects the return of wide receiver Stefon Diggs, safety Nick Cross, and cornerback Trey Amos.

Looking toward future roster construction, analysts suggest the Commanders may prioritize wide receiver depth to support quarterback Jayden Daniels. With Stefon Diggs and Dyami Brown not signed beyond the current season, projections suggest the team could target Indiana wide receiver Charlie Becker with the No. 8 pick in the 2027 NFL Draft to provide a long-term deep threat alongside rookie Antonio Williams.
