Washington Commanders sign Max Scharping and Stefon Diggs

The Washington Commanders have made several roster adjustments, most notably the expected signing of veteran offensive lineman Max Scharping. Scharping, a former second-round pick by the Houston Texans, brings significant experience to the line, having made 33 career starts across his time with the Texans and Cincinnati Bengals.

In addition to Scharping, the Commanders are signing offensive linemen Daniel Brunskill and Nicholas Petit-Frere. To accommodate these moves, the team has released wide receiver Chris Hilton Jr. and guard Timothy McKay, while placing J. Davidson on the reserve/retired list.

The team also recently secured wide receiver Stefon Diggs on a one-year contract. Diggs, a four-time Pro Bowler, is expected to serve as a primary target for quarterback Jayden Daniels alongside Terry McLaurin.
