Washington D.C. Libraries and University Offer New AI Training Programs

Public libraries in Washington, D.C. are hosting an "AI Fundamentals" series on July 13‑14, with sessions ranging from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. across multiple branches, including the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library, Georgetown Neighborhood Library, and others. Separately, a university’s IT department is launching a live‑online "AI in Medical Education" course for medical educators. The four‑session program runs on Oct 8, 15, 22, and 29 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., costs $1,500, and includes hands‑on work with AI tutors, simulation, and assessment tools.
