Washington Huskies defeat Purdue Boilermakers 38-26

The University of Washington football team secured a 38-26 victory over the Purdue Boilermakers, overcoming significant depth issues in their rushing attack. Despite entering the game with five running backs sidelined due to injury or illness, the Huskies recorded 186 rushing yards, their most productive performance of the season.

Trey Cooley provided a standout performance, recording a career-best 113 yards on eight carries, including a 53-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter. Freshman starter Brian Bonner Jr. also contributed significantly, rushing for 64 yards and scoring both a touchdown on the ground and one through the air.

Purdue's offense struggled against the Washington defense, particularly in the face of unconventional pressure. Quarterback Ryan Browne completed 21 of 41 passes for 273 yards but faced pressure on 20 dropbacks, including three sacks, which hindered the Boilermakers' ability to establish a consistent rhythm.
