Washington Huskies fall out of AP Top 25 despite 2-0 start

The University of Washington football team has fallen out of the Associated Press Top 25 rankings despite maintaining a 2-0 start to the season. Following narrow victories over Washington State (24-10) and Utah State (16-14), the Huskies dropped from 17th to 19th and subsequently exited the poll, finishing as the leader in the ‘others receiving votes’ category with 172 points.

Concerns regarding the team's performance have intensified due to a struggling rushing attack and offensive line issues. Injuries to running backs Quaid Carr and Jayden Limar have impacted the ground game, forcing reliance on freshman Brian Bonner Jr. and Ansu Sanoe. While the team remains undefeated, the lack of offensive dominance and inconsistent pass protection have led to scrutiny of head coach Jedd Fisch’s roster management and the team's ability to compete in upcoming matchups.
