Washington National Guard hosts counter-UAS master operator course

The Washington National Guard hosted a counter-unmanned aircraft systems (counter-UAS) master operator course at Camp Murray and Joint Base Lewis-McChord from September 14–25, 2026. The 10-day program involved more than 40 National Guard members from various organizations, including air defense artillery units and civil support teams.

The training focused on developing expertise in employing emerging mobile counter-UAS systems, specifically utilizing technology developed by Anduril Industries. Participants practiced assembling, calibrating, and troubleshooting equipment, as well as using the Lattice software platform to detect and track unmanned aircraft. The course aimed to strengthen cooperation between military, law enforcement, and public safety organizations to support coordinated responses to unmanned aircraft incidents.
